Price matters more here than in any other market we sell into. Buyers compare offers across several origins on the same morning and they will tell you exactly where you sit. That is fair, and it keeps us honest about what our cost actually is.
What wins the second order is not the price on the first one. It is whether the container held what the contract said, whether it sailed on the date we gave, and whether we answered the phone when something needed sorting out.
Anyone can win an order on price once. You keep the customer by shipping what you said, on the day you said it.
